Tension In Tamale

Groups of young men believed to be members of one of the royal families of Dagbon are reportedly gathering at the premises of the Palace of the Regent of Tamale to respond to the arrest of their colleagues by soldiers.

Military and police personnel were deployed in the town following threats of attack by a group calling itself the ‘Guerrilla fighters’ to protest the curfew imposed on the region after the Yendi conflict.

Some residents of Tamale have been calling our radio stations with an appeal to alert the security agencies about the tension in the area.
