Tension brews in KMA ahead of elections

It appears the contest between the two contenders for the presiding member position of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) will hit a snag today.

There are signals that the two, former presiding member of KMA Nana Kofi Senya and his close contender Baffour Adjei Kesse IV Adumhene will step aside for a compromised candidate.

Ultimate News’ Isaac Bediako reports that the Manhyia palace has appointed Amoamanhene to represent the palace when fresh nominations are opened.

This is however likely to spark some agitations among the government appointed assembly members because of a rift between the proposed nominee and the out-gone Mayor Kojo Bonsu which resulted in his premature resignation.
