Kwesiminstim, (W/R) April 15, GNA- Mr. Samuel K. Oduro, a nurse at the Evangelisch-Krankenhaus hospital in Germany on Thursday presented 10 wheelchairs to the Kwesiminstim and Essikadu Hospitals, both in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

He said the chairs, which were gifts from the German hospital were for the upkeep of the sick and to ease the burden of medical staff of the hospital.

Mr. Oduro said as a health worker himself, he knew some of the problems that health workers go through in the performance of their duties, especially when emergency cases were referred to them. Receiving it on behalf of the hospital, Mrs Joana Barnes, the Deputy Director of Nursing Services (DDNS) expressed her appreciation to the donor for the support.

She pledged to ensure that the items are put to proper use and appealed to other philanthropists to come to the aid of the hospital.
