Tema Rotary Club donates to Ashaiman flood victims

Ashaiman, Aug. 25, GNA – Nana Yaw Gyane, President of the Tema Chapter of Rotary Club International, on Wednesday donated used clothing to victims of the recent floods in Ashaiman.

Nana Gyane explained that as an organisation that provided service to the less privileged in society, Rotary, on hearing of the plight of the flood victims in Ashaiman, decided to put used clothing together to help those who had lost their belongings.

Mr Numo Addison Adinortey, Ashaiman Municipal Chief Executive, received the items on behalf of the flood victims, and thanked Rotary for the kind gesture.

He promised that the items would be handed over to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for distribution to the affected people.
