Tema Records accident-free Christmas

The Tema Regional Police Command recorded no accident during Christmas.

The region covers part of the Spintex Road through Tema, Ashaiman, Kpone, Prampram, Afienya, Dodowa, and Ada and its environs.

Superintendent Oduro Amaning, Tema Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency on Friday.

He congratulated drivers plying the roads in Tema and its environs for observing road safety measures.

According to him, unlike previous years when accidents were synonymous with Christmas, this Yuletide has been accident-free due to discipline on the part of drivers.

The Tema MTTU Commander implored drivers and other road users to continue observing motor traffic and transport laws to avoid getting involved in avoidable road accidents.

He commended MTTU officers and other police personnel for their presence on the road, and ensuring that Tema recorded an accident-free Yuletide.
