Tema police search for man alleged to have stolen 700 million cedis

Tema, Nov. 3, GNA- The Tema Police is looking for a man alleged to have stolen 700 million cedis belonging to his employers.

Chief Inspector Yaw Nketia-Yeboah, Tema Regional Public Relations Officer told the Ghana News Agency that Solomon Adofo Nyarko, 40, absconded and a bench warrant was issued for him He said the amount was part of monies that customers deposited with him on behalf of the company whose name was being withheld for security reasons.

The PRO said on October 4, auditors were called to audit the accounts of Nyarko so when he detected that he would be exposed he left the office unceremoniously and has since not be heard of.
