Tema Lube Oil organizes mock demonstration

Tema, Aug 15, GNA – Tema Lube Oil Company (TLOC), on Friday held an internal mock exercise to evaluate the company’s preparedness to handle emergencies.

Mr Samuel Anguah, Managing Director of TLOC told the Ghana News Agency that the exercise, which was the first of its kind was to pre-test its safety policies on “Crises Management Plan” and “Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan”.

He further stated that the exercise also created a platform for them to interact with the personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service, who were present during the demonstration. Mr Godfred Ansah Nyarko, Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator, who was in charge of the mock exercise, said it was also intended to prepare management to effectively handle conflicts on its premises as well as resolve employees grievances early to prevent any strike action. Mr Nyarko advised other companies to emulate the exercise.
