Tema General Hospital records 88 births during Easter

Tema, March 28, GNA — Eighty-eight babies made up of 39 boys and 49 girls were delivered at Tema General Hospital during the Easter holidays.

Twenty-three deliveries including a set of twins were recorded on Good Friday out of which four were delivered through caesarean section and on Holy Saturday 25 deliveries were recorded out of which five were through caesarean section.

Thirteen normal deliveries were recorded at the hospital on Easter Sunday and 27 deliveries on Easter Monday eight through caesarean section.

Information made available to Ghana News Agency by hospital officials said the first delivery on Good Friday, a boy was delivered at 0113 hours and weighed 3.8 kilogrammes and Easter Sunday recorded the first girl delivery at 2400 hours and weighed 2.8 kilogrammes. Hospital sources said the mothers and babies were in good condition.
