Tema Circuit Court fines driver for causing accident

Tema, Nov 22, GNA- The Tema Circuit Court ‘A’, has imposed a fine of two million cedis on a driver at Tema New Town, for smashing his car into a taxicab in an attempt to avoid arrest. Felix Fefeeh who pleaded guilty will be gaoled for two years in default.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Mary Assunta, told the Court presided over by Mr Charles Asiedu, that at 1300 hours on March 5, 2004, Fefeeh who was driving a truck, was about to join the New Town Road when he spotted a policeman on duty.

In the process of getting out of site he ran into the taxicab and caused considerable damage to the car.
