Tema Circuit Court fines a man for stealing

Tema, July 30, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘A,’ has imposed a fine of two million cedis on a man who stole a wrist- watch and 500,000 cedis from a Fulani herdsman.

Simon Missio pleaded guilty to a charge of stealing and will go to jail for two years in default.

Police Chief Inspector Mary Assunta told the Court that on April 7, this year, the Fulani herdsman, Zibrim alighted from a vehicle at the Ashaiman main lorry station to visit a friend. She said the accused and two accomplices attacked Zibrim and collected his wrist- watch and the cash.

The complainant held the accused firmly, raised the alarm and was assisted by sympathisers to arrest Simon.
