Telecom draws first western regional raffle

Takoradi, Dec 20, GNA – Mr Gideon Acquah of Takoradi won the first Western Region Branch Phone Card Raffle launched by Ghana Telecom (GT). He won with a used 50 units phone card and will take would receive One million cedis as his prize.

The draw makes Takoradi the fourth after Tema, Ho, Koforidua and Cape Cape whose raffles have already been drawn.

Briefing the media after the draw, Mr Charles Ebu, Marketing Officer of GT Pay phone, said the raffle was meant to give customers a special treat during the Christmas holidays and to encourage the use of public pay phone booths.

Mr Albert Jackson-Davies of Lintas said the promotion was to encourage more Ghanaians to adopt proper disposal of the used phone cards and thereby save the environment from indiscriminate littering with phone cards.
