Teenager drowns in flood waters

Ashalaja (G/A), June 5, GNA – Jomo Quaye, 19-year-old JSS leaver, on Saturday got drowned in a flood caused by rains, which made the Densu River at Ashalaja in the Ga West District to overflow its banks. Mr Addy-Adams, former Assemblyman of the area told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that, Quaye was swimming across the river when he got drowned.

Meanwhile, the body has been deposited at the Nsawam Government Hospital for autopsy.

The Amasaman Police who confirmed the incidence said, they are investigating the incidence.
