Techimantia chief dies

The people of Techimantia in Tano South District of Brong-Ahafo are in a state of mourning following the death of their chief, Nana Oti Ampem II.

Nana Oti Ampem, 67, a retired educationist, died three weeks ago after a short illness.

A close relative of the chief told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on condition of anonymity at the weekend the death of Nana Oti Ampem was a big blow to the people as he was instrumental in the development of the area.
