Techiman tribunal remands Cape Coast trader

A Techiman circuit tribunal has remanded a Cape Coast based trader, Nana Kwabena Ayisi,in custody for allegedly defrauding two traders of a total of 370,000 cedis. Chief Inspector Samuel Agyekum told the tribunal that Ayisi collected 30 bags of charcoal and 370 pestils from Madam Monica Kuruwa and Mr Bubakar Abdalla on September 30, last year, at Techiman with a promise to settle the bill in two weeks time. He said although Ayisi sold the items, he failed to make the payments. This resulted in his arrest on December 23 last year. The accused pleaded not guilty and the case was adjourned to April 16.
