Techiman South MP presents items towards market project

Tanoso (B/A) Sept. 28, GNA – Mr. Prince Oduro-Mensah, Member of Parliament for Techiman South, has presented two packets of roofing sheets worth 1.5 million cedis towards a market project at Tanoso. The presentation brings to seven the number of packets of roofing sheets the MP has donated towards the project out of his share of the MP’s Common Fund.

Mr. Patrick Fordjour Danquah, Assembly Member for Tentenano-Nkruwaso electoral area who presented the items on behalf of the MP said efforts were being made to complete the project on schedule. He appealed to the area council to use the sheets for the purpose, noting that the market would increase revenue to support development projects in the area.

Mr. Kofi Nimoh, treasurer and Project Supervisor of the Council who received the items commended the MP for his concern for the market and announced that the Council and the Market Traders Association had already contributed eight packets of the sheets towards the project. He urged traders to continue to honour their tax obligations so that the Council could generate enough revenue towards more projects in the area.
