Techiman Municipal commends health workers

Techiman (B/A), Dec. 24 GNA – Mr Henry Dako Offei-Akoto, Techiman Municipal Director of Health Services has commended health workers for their dedicated services towards better health needs of the people Mr Offei-Akoto gave the commendation at a dinner to award Dr. George Bonsu and Mrs Judith Addo-quaye, who were on transfer from Techiman to Sunyani.

They were presented with video Decks, Kente cloths, cash and cooking utensils for having successfully served in the Municipality in the previous years.

Mr Offei-Akoto urged the workers to sustain their good attitude towards work and towards the strengthening of their community spirit and co-operation and also advised them not to be complacent with the lofty sentiments expressed about them but rather exhibit more selflessness at all times.

He warned against lateness to work and absenteeism saying that, such negative attitudes would not be entertained.

Nana Nketia Catapilla, of the Leprosy Disease Control Unit of the Techiman Holy Family Hospital, asked them to work harder than before to offer better health services to the people.

Madam Judith Addo-quaye, Brong Ahafo Deputy Director of Nursing Services on behalf of Dr. George Bonsu and herself thanked the Municipal Directorate for the shinning example they had set in awarding them for their good services.

She called on nurses to establish in themselves good leadership in order that they would command respect from the general public. Other speakers at the function were, Mr Abdul Karim, Municipal Director of Environmental Health Services, Mr Kwakye Siaw, Municipal Nutrition Officer and Madam Margaret Aboligu, Techiman Municipal Public Health Nurse.
