Techiman MCE Embarks on Familiarization Tour

Forikrom (B/A), Aug. 25, GNA – Mr. Alex Kyeremeh, Techiman Municipal Chief Executive, has appealed to the people to complement government efforts by initiating development projects to attract support for an improvement in their living conditions.

He said the government was committed to providing basic infrastructure for the development of all communities in the country. The MCE was addressing separate durbars of chiefs and people at Forikrom and Fiaso in the municipality, as part of a familiarization tour to acquaint himself with problems of the people. Mr. Kyeremeh advised the people to forge ahead in unity towards the development of their areas, and stated the NDC government would fulfil all the campaign promises made to the people.

He asked them to exercise patience as the Assembly was working to address problems pertaining to water, sanitation, health, roads, agriculture and education in the municipality.

The MCE charged parents to encourage their children in their education so they could become responsible citizens in future. At Fiaso, Mr. Kyeremeh reiterated that the Assembly would continue to support any community that would initiate development projects towards the socio-economic advancement of the area. Nana Agyewodin Kwarteng Ameyaw 1, Fiasohene, appealed to the Assembly to extend water from an existing mechanized bore-hole to all parts of the community. 25 Aug 09
