Techiman gets new Omanhene

Techiman (B/A) March 19, GNA – Mr Kwaku Osei-Mensah, branch manager of Ghana Commercial Bank at Twifo-Praso in the Central region, was last weekend confirmed as the next Omanhene of Techiman Traditional area. Seventeen out of 21 king makers confirmed Mr Osei-Mensah, 42, as the 40th Omanhene to succeed the late Osabarima Dotobibi Takyia-Ameyaw 11, who died last year and was buried last month.

The newly elected Omanhene has being placed in confinement for 40 days awaiting his final installation.

Nana Opoku Abankwah, Krontihene and Acting President of the Techiman Traditional Area, presided the peaceful and solemn ceremony during which the 17 Kingmakers officially introduced the new Omanhene.
