Techiman Assembly forms committee on NHIS

Techiman (B/A) Feb. 12, GNA- Techiman Municipal Assembly has formed committees to educate the public on the implementation of the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Mr Antwi Boasiako, Personnel Manager of Holy Family Hospital in Techiman and member of the Municipal Health Education Committee, called on the people to support it.

He was addressing separate meetings of the Islamic Mission Secretariat of the Busanga and Gonja communities in Techiman to sensitize them on the implementation of the scheme.

Alhaji Adamu Mohammed, Assembly Member for Hausaline and member of the Municipal Health Insurance Scheme Education committee, said the scheme would help provide quality health delivery service and reduce mortality rate as well as improve their living conditions. He called on opinion leaders to lead the people to embrace the scheme.

The Assembly Member stated that the campaign on the implementation of the scheme should not be left to members of the committees alone but must be supported by all.
