Team Ghana at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games

Ghana’s representatives at this year’s Olympics made a glittering appearance at the Games when the Opening Ceremony was held.

Led by flagbearer Fling Joyner Owusu-Agyapong, the team made its way onto the Maracana Stadium in resplendent wear that has since caught some eye balls.

The build-up has been dominated by a doping largely around Russia. The Zika virus struggle and security and poor infrastructure

These are the Games of the 31st Olympiad but are the 28th to be held as those in 1916, 1940 and 1944 did not take place because of war.

The Games are held in South America for the first time and runs from August 5 to 21.
