Teachers urged to make themselves available to students -Imbeah

Kweikuma (WR), July 21, GNA – Nana Kofi Imbeah, Metropolitan Director of Education for the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis, on Thursday tasked teachers to make themselves easily available to students.

This he said would encourage students to have the confidence in sharing their problems with them.

Nana Imbeah was speaking at the maiden graduation ceremony of the Western Royal Montessori School and the inauguration of the school cadet corps at Kweikuma in the Western Region.

He said the theme for the event “Standing out in Crowd” required that teachers, parents and the students gave off their best in all their endeavours.

He said: “for a school to stand out in the crowd, it requires the support of all the stakeholders in education.”

Nana Imbeah called on teachers to prepare their lessons and be punctual at school, adding that you must set good examples as teachers by being morally upright.

Mr Ekow Abiw Offei, Proprietor of the school urged parents to take interest in the academic work of their children.

He said “my staff and I are committed to this and will not relent on our efforts to raise the image of the school.”
