Teachers receive training in Information Technology

Bolgatanga, Sept. 27, GNA – Thirty one teachers from 10 Junior High and Primary schools in the Upper East Region have ended a six-day Information Technology Training (ICT) at Bolgatanga.

The participating schools were Nyariga and Kalbeo–Tindonsobligo Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Bolgatanga Municipality, Sekoti and Wobigu JHS in the Talensi-Nabdam District, Mayoro JHS in the Kassena-Nankana East District and Zebilla JHS in the Bawku West District.

Mr. David Afugani, Chief Commercial Officer of rlg, said the training provided was in fulfillment of the collaboration between the government and the company to upgrade teachers’ knowledge under the computerized basic school system.

Mr. Alfred Anafo, Chief Inspector at the Upper East Regional Educational Directorate, said the training offered them further professional development.

He said rlg had a facility for teachers to individually buy and own computers through flexible payment terms
