Teachers in Sissala District to get motorbikes on hire purchase

Tumu (UW/R), March 5, GNA – The Agricultural Development Bank has procured 230 motor bikes at a cost of 1.5 billion cedis for distribution to teachers in the Sissala District on hire purchase.

Mr. Moses Dani Baah, Deputy Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Sissala announced this at the inauguration of the Child’s Rights Club in the Sissala District.

The club is being sponsored by Plan Ghana, an NGO. He said 100 of the motorbikes were ready for freighting to Tumu for distribution.

Mr. Baah said he personally negotiated with the bank for the package for the teachers as a motivation to stay a little longer in the district and also to give off their best.

He said he had also sourced assistance for the establishment of a computer centre at Tumu to promote information communication technology among school children in the district, adding that the centre would be inaugurated shortly.
