Teacher wins NDC parliamentary slot

Odumasi (B/A) Aug. 2, GNA- Mr Ahmed Boadan, a Mathematics tutor at Dormaa Senior Secondary School (SSS) was at the weekend elected to contest the Sunyani West Constituency Parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in December elections.

He polled 182 votes to beat the only challenger, Mr Charles Diawuo, Brong Ahafo Regional Organizer of the party who had 22 at a delegates’ congress at Odumasi.

The election was conducted and supervised by officials of the Electoral Commission. Other regional executives of the party witnessed the election.

Mr Boadan expressed appreciation to the delegates for the confidence reposed in him.

He called on members to intensify their campaign to enable the party to win the December elections. Mr Diawuo pledged to support Mr Boadan to ensure victory for the party.
