Teacher remanded for defiling pupil

Tema, July 20, GNA – The Tema Circuit Court ‘B’, has remanded a 31-year-old teacher into custody for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14-year-old girl.

Daniel Sedafor pleaded not guilty and will reappear on August 2, 2004. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor told the Court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye, that in March 2004, the accused lured the victim who is a pupil in his class, to his house at Ashaiman, near Tema in March, and defiled her.

The girl subsequently became pregnant leading to the arrest of Daniel who admitted the offence.
