Teacher remanded for defiling a 13-year-old girl

Tarkwa (W/R), Aug 29, GNA- A circuit court at Tarkwa has remanded a 33-year-old teacher, Stephen Danso, for defiling a girl aged 13 in a cocoa farm.

His plea was not taken and he will re-appear on September 18. Police Inspector Constance Addo told the court that sometime in June, Danso, who teaches at Pepoasu near Enchi, went to look for the parents of the girl but did not meet them.

He, therefore, saw the girl in the house and invited her to go with him to pick his cocoa pods in his farm. He then defiled her on the farm and warned her not to tell anybody.

Inspector Addo said about a week later the teacher invited the girl into his room and again had sexual intercourse with her. The girl fell sick and when she was questioned she disclosed what the teacher did to her. 29 Aug. 03
