Teacher jailed for multiple registration

Bimbilla, May 24, GNA – Iddirisu Ziblilla 36, a teacher of the Gbungbadiga RC Primary School has been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment by a Magistrate’s court at Bimbilla for multiple registration.

Afia Suyini, 20, a farmer of Sonayili was, however, cautioned and discharged for a similar offence because she was nursing a three-month-old baby.

They both pleaded guilty.

The presiding Magistrate Mr John Adjer Nassam said he cautioned and discharged the woman because she was a single parent. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Edward Odei told the court that on April 16 and 29, this year, at Nakpayili in the Nanumba District, Ziblilla was found holding two registration forms bearing his name which indicated that he had registered at Nakpayili Market registration centre and the Nakpayili butchers shop registrations centre. Inspector Odei said Afia Suyini also registered two times at the Sonayili LA Primary School and registration centre with the same name.
