Teacher donates free uniforms

Kumasi, Nov. 16, GNA – Mr Frank Osei-Kwaku, a teacher at the Kaasi M/A Primary School in Kumasi, has donated 60 school uniforms valued at GH¢480 to some needy pupils in the school.

He said he was touched by the plight of the children, who were always seen in tattered uniform.

Mr Charles Oduro Acheampong, Assembly member for the area, thanked him for the kind gesture, adding that, the beneficiaries, their parents and the community would forever remain grateful.

He counselled the pupils to be inspired by the donation and become more serious with their studies. Madam Janet Agyabeng, Head-teacher, appealed to the educational authorities to facilitate the early completion of a community-initiated classroom block, which has been under construction for sometime now, to promote enrolment.
