Teacher arrested for writing WASSCE for girlfriend

Police at Kukurantumi in the Eastern region are questioning a basic school teacher who attempted writing the ongoing West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for his girlfriend.

The teacher was handed over to the police by invigilators who supervised the exams at the Bright senior high school.

The suspect’s name has, however, been withheld as police continue with investigations.

Headmaster of the School, Bright Amponsah in an interview with Starr News said he is extremely embarrassed by the incident.

“The teacher took Ghc4,000 and was promised a job if he was caught and that was his motivation,” Mr. Amponsah said.
