Tema, Jan. 15, GNA – Mr Joe Abbey, Managing Director of the Tema Development Corporation (TDC), says the Corporation will pay the necessary compensation to deserving landowners. Mr Abbey who made the pledge at the Corporation’s Tripartite Committee’s encounter with the media in Tema, said the Corporation was therefore awaiting the recommendation of the Ministerial Committee on Compensation appointed by the Ministry of Water Resource, Workers and Housing to roll out payment plans. He assured landowners who have been denied the use of their lands that TDC would give them compensation but was quick to add that no compensation would be paid in respect of unauthorised structures demolished by the TDC Taskforce.
