TDC presents long service awards

Tema, Dec 23, GNA – The Tema Development Corporation (TDC) at the weekend presented cash awards and certificates to its employees who have served between 10 to 35 years.

Seven retiring staff also received certificates and gifts ranging from 20-inch colour television sets, double decked refrigerators and large deep-freezers.

Mr Aaron Kpako going on retirement after 42 years’ service received a large deep-freezer.

Ms Elizabeth Mansa Banson, Acting Managing Director of TDC, said during the year the Corporation undertook the partial servicing of Zenu land and completed preparatory work on the layout for Community. It also serviced the land opposite Community 22 for commercial use and completed design drawings for the new TDC head office. She said as part of its social responsibility to its immediate communities, TDC started the construction of a police post and two staff bungalows at Community Four.

Ms Banson said in 2004, TDC would complete servicing works at Zenu, commence servicing of the land at community 24 and start construction work on the town centre project and the Corporation’s Head Office.
