Taxi driver arrested over son’s death

Bismark Donkor, a taxi driver in Gomoa Aseibu near Winneba Junction, has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing his nine-month-old son.

Donkor is in police custody assisting in investigations.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) John Paul Akonde, Winneba District MTTU Commander, told the GNA that the suspect, after washing the taxi on August 3, reversed and killed his son, who had crawled under the taxi.

ASP Akonde said the body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba, and the taxi cab also impounded.
