Taxi driver, 25, shot dead in Eastern region

A 25-year-old taxi driver has been gunned down at Akyem Ntronan in the Birim north district of the Eastern region by unknown assailants.

Father of the deceased who spoke to Starr News said he was informed by his son’s death Friday evening by a friend.

According to him, his son Giwonu Gidi Moses was shot behind his taxi but is uncertain who carried out the heinous crime.

Mr. David Kenyakpo narrated that his son was on his way to pick a client when he was accosted and shot several times.

Mr. Kenyakpo added that the police has commenced investigations into his son’s death and is hoping that the culprits are arrested soon.
