Task Force collects 23 million cedis revenue

Savelugu (Northern Region) 7th Sept ’99 The Task Force of the Savelugu Urban Council has collected 23 million cedis in revenue as at August this year as against 16 million cedis realised by the District Assembly’s regular annual revenue collectors.

The amount was derived mainly from taxes on the export of food crops, market tolls, lorry parks, basic and cattle rates.

Alhaji Sumani Nbuu, spokesman for the Task Force made this known to the Savelugu Urban Council at Savelugu.

Alhaji Nbuu, assembly member for Nakuagu electoral area, called for co-operation and support for the Task Force in the performance of its duties.
