Tarkwa Nsueam MCE inaugurates classroom blocks at Nkwanta/Donpim

The Municipal Chief Executive of Tarkwa Nsueam, Mrs. Christina Cobbinah, has inaugurated three-unit classroom blocks with ancillary facilities for Nkwanta D/C and Nana Boadi Junior High schools at Nkwanta and Donpim.

The projects estimated at GH?91,530.89 and GH?97,472.48 were funded from the Assembly’s District Development Fund (DDF).

Addressing traditional rulers and members of the communities at separate functions on Thursday, the MCE said the projects were in fulfillment of a pledge made by government to improve infrastructural development in the education sector.

According to the MCE, the Assembly would improve facilities of basic schools in the Municipality to make formal education attractive to children.

She therefore asked students to study hard and come out with good grades to enable them further their education to the higher level.

Mrs. Cobbinah advised the beneficiary schools to take good care of the facilities in order to benefit from their use for a long period. She also called on Ghanaians to rally behind the government for more developmental projects.

In addition, she donated sixty dual desks to the Methodist Junior High School at Donpim.

The Municipal Education Director of Tarkwa Nsueam, Madam Catherine Davis expressed her appreciation to the Assembly from their assistance.

Madam Davis called on parents to avoid expending on material things and rather invest in the education of their children for better future. She appealed to teachers to give out their best in training students in the Municipality.**
