Tarkwa Nsueam Assembly takes measures to improve sanitation

The Environmental Officer of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, Mr Emmanuel Kudor, has called on stakeholders to play an active role in the fight against poor sanitation in the municipality.

He said as part of its unrivaled commitment towards a clean and healthy environment, the assembly would embark on a clean up exercises frequently to improve environmental hygiene and prevent the outbreak of cholera and other related diseases.

Mr Kudor said this when he addressed environmental personnel at Tarkwa and appealed to the citizenry to participate in the exercise as it was a collective responsibility to keep the environment clean.

Mr Kudor warned that persons who absented themselves from the exercise would be charged and prosecuted at the law courts.
