The Tarkwa-Nsueam Municipal Assembly has disbursed GH¢14,600.00 to Persons with Disability (PWDs) in the municipality.
The money was the first quarter of this year’s District Assemblies Common Fund allocation to the PWDs to improve their standards of living.
Mrs Christina Kobinah, the Municipal Chief Executive, who made the presentation, asked the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously.
She, therefore, encouraged PWDs who had not registered with their respective associations to do so in order to benefit from the fund.
Mr David Okyere, the District President of the Ghana Federation of the Disabled, on behalf of the beneficiaries, thanked the Assembly for its continuous support.
