Tarkwa-Nsueam Assembly demolish structures

Tarkwa, Jan. 18, GNA – A demolition exercise by the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly had led to the relocation of yaw sellers and other foodstuff sellers along the main Tarkwa highway. The exercise was aimed at decongesting the main Tarkwa- Takoradi-Sefwi Wiaso highway and to encourage the traders to re-locate to the Janet Fishlock market at New Atuabo, which has been lying idle since 1998. Mr Robert Mensah, Chairman of the Development Sub-committee of the Assembly, told GNA that the market had toilet facilities, parking bay and sheds for offload of foodstuffs and water supply to the market was for free. He said all the decongested areas will be handed over to the department of parks and gardens to transform into beautiful areas. 18 Jan. 10
