Tarkwa businessman donates to health facilities

Mr Ekow Hayford, a Tarkwa based businessman, has donated items worth over 10,000 Ghana cedis to some health facilities in the Mfantseman Municipality to mark his birthday.

The items included bed sheets, toiletries, soft drinks, bottled water and some bread which were to give some relieve to patients who were on admission at the facilities.

Mr Hayford appealed to Ghanaians to pay attention to things which could prevent diseases and said a war should be waged on environmental sanitation, which is the main cause of diseases.

Dr Derrick Acheampong Bonsu, Medical Superintendent of Saltpond Government Hospital who received the items, thanked the donor and appealed to Ghanaians to show concern for the sick by donating for their upkeep.

The beneficiary health facilities are Dominase Health Centre, Krofo Clinic, Prince Charles Clinic, Peace Clinic, Fynnba Clinic, and Mercy Clinic in Mankessim, Anomabo Health Centre and Saltpond Government Hospital.
