Tarkwa Anglican Church gets water closet

Tarkwa, (W/R) Nov.8 GNA – The Guild of the Good Shepherd of Tarkwa Anglican Church has built and handed over an 18.6 million cedis water closet (WC) to the Church.

It was financed through voluntary contributions of members of the Guild, a benevolent society within the Church.

The Venerable Mark Azariah Dadzie, Archdeacon of the Tarkwa Diocese, who dedicated the toilet on Friday, reminded Christians of their duty and responsibilities towards the progress of humanity as taught by Jesus Christ.

“We must endeavour to lead exemplary lives in everything that we do, and ensure that our thoughts and deeds benefit our society and mankind.”

The Venerable Dadzie, who is also the Parish Priest of the Abbontiakoon, commended members of the Guild for their dedicated and selfless service to the Church and urged other societies within the Church to emulate them.

Mr Emmanuel Gado, Parish Master Shepherd, said members of the Guild recently donated “Tomtom” drums, furniture and woollen carpet to the Church.

They have been spearheading the evangelisation programmes of the Church.

In addition, he said, members of the Guild paid frequent visits to the sick at the Tarkwa Government Hospital where they prayed and donated various items to patients.
