Tano South receives health facility

A non-governmental organisation (NGO) at Bechem in the Tano South district of the Brong Ahafo Region, Save Our Environment Foundation, has collaborated with the US Embassy to put up a health centre for the people of Mansin to improve access to health and healthcare.

Accra FM’s Agyapong Augustine, reporting, said the community had no health centre or CHPS compound and residents had made contributions to build one but run out of funds until the NGO and the US Embassy intervened and completed the project.

Inhabitants expressed their delight with the completion of the project and thanked the NGO and the US Embassy for the facility.

The NGO’s programme coordinator, Solomon Frimpong, said the gesture was in line with Save The Environment Foundation’s objective to see to the development of the Tano South district, particularly in the areas of agriculture and health.

The chief of Mansin, Nana Fosu Ababio II, commended the NGO and the embassy for their benevolence and called for work on the Bechem-Mansin road to be completed to facilitate access to healthcare for persons living in and around the town.
