Tano South MP sinks 12 boreholes for three communities

Accra, Jan. 20, GNA – Mr Andrew Adjei-Yeboah, Member of Parliament for Tano South and Deputy Minister of Lands, Mines and Forestry has sunk twelve boreholes to provide potable water for three communities in the Tano District of the Brong Ahafo Region. The communities to benefit from three boreholes each are Kyebi, Kwakufekrom and Tuagyankrom.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Adjei-Yeboah said the project would help the people fight water-borne diseases whose prevalence was high in areas where people drank untreated water. He said with his share of the common fund, he built ten streetlights for the people of Kofintamkrom to compliment their electrification programme.

The member said he had pledged a further ten street lights to the people of Subinso Number Three, who were also connecting their community to the national grid under the Self Help Electrification Programme. According to the Deputy Minister, The Tano District Health Directorate would be given two motorbikes meant purposely for community health activities.

He said all these projects were being financed out of his share of the Mps’ Common Fund.
