Tamale needs interchange – Minister

Few weeks after the decongestion exercise within the Tamale metropolis, the Northern regional Minister, Salifu Sa-eed, has proposed the construction of a flyover within the central business district of the town.

This, he believes, will facilitate enhancement of business in the area. According to Mr Sa-eed, Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi have witnessed monumental development and for that matter serious investment should be directed to the northern regional capital.

He made these remarks during the field visit by the nominated ambassadors to the region.

The minister disclosed that aside from the flyover, the area needs a multifaceted shopping mall to avert the burden of people in the area and other Sahelian countries travelling to Accra for shopping.

He added this will also serve the Upper East and West regions and also serve as a medium of employment to many of the youth in the area.
