Tamale MCE elected NPP Parliamentary candidate for Tamale Central

Tamale, Aug. 20, GNA – Mr Mohammed Amin Adam, Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive was on Monday elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Tamale Central constituency. He polled 51 votes as against 39 votes for Mr Abdul-Sameed Atta his opponent.

Officials from the Electoral Commission in the metropolis supervised the elections.

Supporters of Mr Adam wearing “T” shirts embossed with his image threw the central business centre of the metropolis into jubilation. They were in cars, motorcycles and bicycles singing praises to Mr Adam described as “Action Man”. 20 Aug.07
