Tamale Chief Executive confirmed

Assembly members of Tamale Metropolis on Friday voted and confirmed Mr Hanan Gundadow Yirifa Abdul-Rahman as Metropolitan Chief Executive.

Mr Abdul-Rahman secured 54 votes representing 93 per cent of the total 58 votes cast. The election was supervised by officials from the Electoral Commission.

Mr Abdul-Rahman gave the assurance that he would work to improve on infrastructure in the metropolis.

He asked the assembly members to cooperate with him to successfully steer the affairs of the metropolis.

He thanked the President for the confidence reposed in him.

Mr Bede Ziedeng, Northern Regional Minister, touted the credentials of Mr Abdul-Rahman describing him as a hard working personality with good record in public service.

Mr Abdul-Rahman holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) and until his appointment and confirmation was the Procurement Manager/Head of Supply Chain Management Unit of the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications.
