Talensi-Nabdam District Directorate appeals for office Block

Tongo (UE), June 14, GNA – Staff of the Talensi/Nabdam District Directorate of Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Upper East Region, have appealed to the government and other stakeholders for an office accommodation.

Currently, the Directorate is using a classroom block of the Wobil Junior High School as an office thus displacing the pupils who have been compelled to join their colleagues in another block, making teaching and learning unbearable for both the teachers and the children.

Mr Francis Ayaaba, District Director of Education made the appeal on behalf of the staff in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Tongo.

He said the District, which was carved out from the then Bolgatanga District GES, now Bolgatanga Municipal GES in 2005, had two government senior high schools, 35 junior high schools and 68 primary schools.

Mr Ayaaba said the District had in stock some computers and their accessories but lacked a place to install them for the pupils to use for lessons in information, communication and technology.
