Takoradi Polytechnic re-opens

Takoradi, July 4, GNA – The Takoradi Polytechnic that was closed down on June 01 following riots by the students, has reopened and students have started arriving on the campus.

A visit to the school by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Tuesday showed many of the students copying examination timetable and cleaning their hostels.

Mr. Ralph Robertson, the Students Representative Council (SRC) President, said many of the students had become fed up with the closure of the school. He said the continued closure would have delayed the academic calendar.

Mr. Roberson said several parents have condemned the act of the students and appealed to the school council and the management to re-open the school in order not to endanger the future of the students. 04 July 07
