Take care of Aliu Mahama – Prez. orders Korle Bu

President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to do all within its power to provide the necessary care for the former Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Alhaji Aliu Mahama.

The decision was announced after a meeting between the Chief of Staff, Mr. Henry Martey Newman and the authorities of the Hospital.

A press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, Mustapha Salifu indicated that “government was ready to offer the needed support for the recuperation of the former Vice President.”

Earlier reports in the media indicated that Alhaji Aliu Mahama was in critical condition at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The first National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), T.B Damba however denied the reports and indicated that the former Vice President was responding positively to treatment.

You would recall that President Mahama recently came under criticism for calling on Muslims to pray for the Mr. Aliu Mahama during the recent Hajj prayers; with followers of the NPP and spokespersons of the former Veep denying any report of him being ill-health.
