Swiss Ambassador visits Monkey Sanctuary

Fiema, (B/A) July 28, GNA- Mr George Zubler, the Swizerland Ambassador to Ghana has paid a working visit to the Chiefs and people of Boabeing-Fiema to inspect the Monkey Sanctuary in the town. The visit was in response to an invitation by the Chief of Fiema, Nana Amnponsah Boateng.

Mr Kwame Ampofo-Twumasi, Nkoranza District Chief Executive who addressed the people of the two towns to welcome the Ambassador commended him for spending time to visit the area and the Sanctuary. Mr. Ampofo-Twumasi was grateful to the people of the area to welcome Mr Zubler and stressed that they should maintain such spirit of unity and cooperation at all times.

He said the Nkoranza District Assembly would never relent in its efforts of promoting the development of the Sanctuary and tourists attractions in the area.

Mr. Zubler praised the people for keeping the monkeys and protecting their lives to make them live happily and friendly with human beings, adding that posterity would grow to maintain such a precious venture.

Mr. Zubler however did not give any promise but said his visit to the place had given him the real picture of the sanctuary and he would never forget about it.

Nana Amponsah Boateng was grateful to the Ambassador for taking him as a brother and visiting him and his people and sharing ideas with him.
