Swedish-Ghanaian ICT Conference Held in Accra

A Swedish IT and Telecom delegation visited Ghana for a three day Swedish and Ghanaian ICT Conference at the Mövenpick Hotel in Accra.

The delegation consisted of nine Swedish companies, where the majority were small to medium sized companies with no current establishment in Ghana. The event was organized by Business Sweden in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy and Ericsson.

The three days involves seminars, exhibitions and business meetings aiming to market and present Swedish competence within the ICT sector. Key guest speakers includes Marianne Treschow, former Director General for the Swedish Post and Telecom Agency. A total of 160 people were present during the event.

The program also included a reception hosted by the H.E. Svante Kilander, Swedish Ambassador to Ghana and Amarkai Amarteifio, Swedish Consul General in Ghana.

Ghana is one of the fastest growing markets within ICT in Sub-Saharan Africa, providing huge business opportunities for Swedish companies. We look forward to continued relations between Swedish and Ghanaian companies.
